We've got some new things here around the Griffin house! And I wanted to share.
I recently had drapes made for the keeping room/kitchen area! And I love the way they turned out.
We spend so much time in this room, and working on it has been a priority for us. The windows are great, and I love being able to take advantage of our view of the lake. But, I knew I wanted a more finished look in regards to the windows, so draperies were definitely on the list. I found a simple, classic, ivory and black ticking stripe that fit the bill for the fabric. I asked for a small goblet pleat at the top and mounted them all on simple black rods. I really love the way they completed this nook!
Classic ticking seems to mix with a variety of styles and always looks chic to me.
Here are a few fun images on Pinterest of other spaces that used the fabric.
Along with the new draperies in the keeping room, I received a pair of fabo leopard pillows from Santa. I'd been eyeing them on Etsy, and hoped Santa would deliver them. :)
I absolutely adore the punch they add to my living room!
The combo of the classic French stripe, the leopard, and the graphic gray linen is too fun.
And on Pinterest, there are plenty of inspiration photos.
Isn't a touch of leopard always apropos?
Have you done any updates in your home lately?
The house looks great Maggie! I LOVE the leopard pillows...such a fun touch!
ReplyDeleteAre those striped curtains? OMG! I totally love it! I think a striped curtain will work with any theme or style of interior there is. They add life to plain, old, and boring walls.

Nice touch on the curtains. It's amazing how a simple curtain can change the mood in a room. Just like here, the curtains add a dramatic value on the window, considering that long windows are difficult to dress up. This is a great tip to consider. Roxie Tenner @ WindowTreatmentsPhiladelphia.com
