LLC EVENTS

I may be super duper partial, but I think my brother Brince's wife is pretty darn amazing. She's sweet, good at everything, and way smart.
I am lucky to call her sister, and my Henry is beyond blessed to call her aunt. She's just amazing at everything!

Recently, Laura Lyn set out to nurture her business, LLC Events, full time. She's a fabulous, one-stop-shop wedding planner that can help you with anything from choosing your colors to directing your wedding. I think the only thing she can't do (yet) is actually marry the bride and groom.
And I say that in like the least un-sarcastic way ever.
(uh hmmm, paging Rev. LL)

Y'all check out her gorgeous new website, and if you're a bride out there, call her immediately.

Grown-up Digs/House Crashing my sis and bro

My sister recently moved into a new condo on Hilton Head Island where she's working post-college. Pretty nice locale, right?!?!

She needed a little sprucing, so mama and Maggie to the rescue!
My mama, and I headed toward the coast with a car full of goodies. My sister had things left from college, hand-me-downs and a few new things to get her new abode ready.
We had a ball fluffing for a few days, and although its not complete, I had to share some snaps of her fun new space.

The living room has a vaulted ceiling and overlooks a pretty courtyard, looking toward the pool area. There's a screened in porch too...not a bad place to begin your day!

In planning her new space, we gravitated toward a more or less monochromatic palette of grays, creams, and lots of metallics. An ikat sofa gives a youthful punch while a trio of mirrors add oomph. I love the pair of chrome bamboo floor lamps with "snakeskin" shades too!

A little texture was brought in with a comfy ombre throw and a magazine basket.

Our grandmother's porch furniture got a face lift with bright yellow paint!

I love the polka dot pillows with the ikat - I am such a sucker for pattern!

Woven sea grass chairs lend themselves toward her island vibe.

Her bedroom already had an accent wall of grass cloth - score!
It was really meant to be! Her headboard and bedding looks so pretty against it!

A old chest of drawers from our grandparents and a white lamp from our great-grandmother work perfectly for her bedroom.

We flipped over these silver antelope horns, and loved the stack with an old cream platter and family photo.

Her bedding is another play on patterns.
Checks, stripes, chevron, and a blush pink spread make this bed a comfy place to fall each night.

Don't fresh flowers make any space feel more like "home"?

Her back deck opens to this pretty, lush courtyard

On the way to see my sister, we also stopped to see my baby brother and his cute apartment. He, of course, doesn't desire a ton of accessories and fluffing like us girls do, but he let my mama do a few things. He's got a combo of hand-me-downs too...the requisite Scarface poster from my other brother's college days...a recliner....a TV....what else does a boy need? :)
Here are a few of his fun details:

Hope you enjoyed this little mini tour...up next: Wedding deets from a Kentucky affair!
