My House Tour: Guest Rooms

Upstairs, there are two rooms nestled under the eaves of this house. I love their angled ceilings and its been a favorite place when we have company. The first one is this fun space that I painted Newburg Green - a teal-y blue green navy that I am a little obsessed with. I've probably shown 5 clients this room for the color and they all love it too!

The headboard is one I have had since I was a freshman in college. I finally had it recovered and used the white bedding I've had forever here.

I did blackout drapes on the window too, so this guest room is definitely cave-like and gives our guests some good sleep!

The other guest room is a lighter and brighter space. I re-used the drapes from our last house, and had some of them made into other pieces too.
The soft blue on these walls is Silver Crest - a pretty, soft, pale blue-grey.

This room is full of things I already had, just used in a different way now. Except the headboards. Those are "new". My MIL was selling these two twin headboards at a yardsale and I snatched them up so fast! Thanks Pammy!

Our little den is up next!

Bedroom Re-Fresh!

Since you guys have already seen most of this lovely cottage, I've got two more spaces to share.
They're full of charm and fun pieces that got a little love...like the old iron bed we painted red!

We kept things pretty neutral with a few bright pops, and voila! We've got a space that's fun and pulled together, especially for the grandkids! Maybe even a guest here and there!

Its hard to beat pretty rugs, white bedding and cute pillows. Oh, and those linen panels that I have a hard time straying from.
;)

Restful Master Space

Sign me up for a blue bedroom any day.
Toss in an upholstered headboard, a tish of buffalo check, and some linen panels and I'm done.
:)

The wall color of this room was already here, and I LOVE it. Mixed with the nail heads of the headboard and gorgeous gold sconce, its one fun combo.

The soft Moroccan rug adds that modern graphic element.
I love love love this space!

Check out a few more snaps below:

One Fun Family's Dining Room

Now that I've shared the living room and keeping room with you guys,  I wanted to share more of this fun historic house, oozing with charm and details and natural light. The dining room got a little re-fresh with new paint, window treatments, a gorgeous chandy, all over those incredible freshly-refinished floors.

Here are a few peeks around the space!

(ps. see last week's post for more on this house!)

The room is separated from the living room by those gorgeous stained French doors.
{Swoon}

My client has the most fun artwork to chose from, many of which has been done by close family and friends. This pair of countryside oils was just the right color punch for this corner.
And raise your hand if you're as obsessed with Belgian linen panels as I am?!?!?
They literally work in every space. (That's why you guys see them in my rooms so much!)

Love this little peek from the living room to the dining room.
And that you can see our punches of black around the house. Black adds prominence and sophistication to a room...especially via an antique tole platter and antique table and chairs.

On the other side of the dining room is the small sitting spot in the kitchen. My client and I share a mutual love of Chinois...a touch here and there is happy happy happy.
We both fell for the lacquer-red toile for a small shade, and complete with a zebra needlepoint rug.
A set of old wing backs are now covered in indoor/outdoor polka dots and look completely refreshed!

One more charming space that saw some fun additions is the tucked-away home office, with all of the original wood moldings. We added the mod Moroccan rug along with gray linen panels and salmon trim...tres' chic indeed!

Hope you guys have a fabulous Monday....stay tuned for more next week!
Oh, and head over to ShopMGD on Instagram for some super cute original artwork!!!
