My House Tour: Master Bedroom

The wall of windows in this room is one of my favorite things in the house. And the light here is amazing. The windows all look out into our back yard, so you see a lot of green through the shutters.

From this angle, you can really see the beautiful blue on the ceiling. I used Sabre Grey here (1/2 formula) and Linen White on the walls.

The creams, and blues, and whites here just make me so happy. They're calming and light, and I love all the white bedding.

My big nightstands are painted Half Moon Crest.

We worked on the master bathroom a bit over the summer too.
I raised the mirror, and installed a mirror-mounted sconce. We painted the walls Linen White and raised the vanity that was already here. We went with a marble countertop and polished nickel fixtures.

This seemed like a fun place for my little nudie collection too.

Happy Wednesday to you all!
See you tomorrow!

A Master Bathroom Renovation: Whites + Creams + Grays + Metallics...Be Still My Heart!

I've been itching to share this bathroom with you guys for so long!
We've been waiting on the window treatments, and a few final touches, so now that we've photographed it all, here it is for you guys to enjoy!

_________________________________________________________

I'm lucky enough to call these homeowners both friend and client.
I'm always doubly blessed when my clients become my friends, and my friends are my clients!
In this case, our friendship was already there, and it made our process that much more fun for this designer.

It was time for a master bathroom renovation, and over the past 6 months, its all come together for these homeowners. From the very beginning, we decided that the aesthetic was to be soft and neutral with a touch of glam, along with timeless finishes.

Here's what we were dealing with. And what my clients inherited...water issues, falling tiles, odd layout, underutilized space, etc.

So we decided we could make it better. Even better than better.
I knew it would be fabo once it was completed.

Then, everything was torn out.

To make way for the new bathroom

It's come a long way!
See how we renovated and remodeled this space below:

Mixing metallics is too fun for me!  The shades of gold, silver, and gilver in this space make it both fun and interesting.

Marble, a soaking tub, a cage lantern....I might pass out. It's too pretty!

The floors are a gorgeous array of rectangle tiles, with an octagonal tile "rug" inlaid in front of the vanity.

We chose all polished nickel faucets, handles, and shower hardware. I love love love the warm undertone of this metal!
It's a fun mix with the mirror lights in rubbed bronze, and the gilver lantern.

I love the extra storage that the metal bamboo etergere provides as well.
Its a pretty spot to keep folded towels.

I mean, I can't.

I think its probably a good thing when you literally want to lie on your clients' floors because they are so beautiful.

A tiled in shower with frameless door and slab corner seat makes the biggest difference!

Even the new door knobs, in an oil rubbed bronze with crystal knob, tie in to the room's overall aesthetic.

A few of my favorite details....
the lantern, the framed nudes, and the detailed roman shades

I so hope that this was a fun post for you guys!
I had a ball working on this whole project!
Can't wait to share more of what I've had going on lately!
