A Bright Breakfast Spot for the Fam

This fun family of 5 needed a more functional dining spot in their kitchen - a place for meals, for homework, for entertaining...the list goes on. Building in a banquette for them seemed like the most fun option, as it saves space, provides storage, and gives you additional seating in the case of "extra" kiddos around the table. 

I love the new drapes to soften this space with the comfy pillows and bench cushion. Toss in a modern chandy, a farmhouse table, and blue & white jars and it's a fun, sophisticated, updated trad space.

My Merry House Tour: It's Home for the Holidays

Happy Holidays Everyone! 

I hope your Thanksgiving was filled with full hearts and full tummies! And hopefully a win for your team too! 

I wanted to share with you guys our home for the holidays. 

I had fun doing the decor for Christmas, and love having it all out. I tend to keep things pretty minimal, because you know, we have to live here too. ;) 

Setting my tables makes me happy, so I make sure those are ready for guests. 

My mantels get a little love, and the windows get some wreaths. 

My living room has a gorgeous Salal garland with a silver leaf nativity tucked into the leaves. And I am kinda crazy over the silver trees nestled inside the hearth. 

The dining room, breakfast area, bar, and porch have my tables set. Its so fun to get to use all my "stuff". 

I've even got two Charlie Brown trees for the moment.
