A Mountain View

Hi blogger friends!
Don't you dare miss this gorgeous post on the 2012 Cashier's showhouse that my BFF James Farmer recently authored. I had a blast as his second set of hands!

He's got more images of the beautiful porch he designed on All Things Farmer, and on Pinterest too...you can see that his love for red, white, and blue is evident - I know the photos are lovely, but believe me, in person, it was all breathtaking!

And if you haven't seen it already, check out his post on the incredible baby shower he and my best friends threw for Baby Boy Griffin!

Atlanta Symphony Decorator's Showhouse 2013

It's that time of year again....it's officially showhouse season!

The Atlanta Symphony Decorator's Showhouse will be opening soon, and you definitely do not want to miss this house! It's just amazing! The house opens on April 20th and runs through Mother's Day, May 12th.
2013 Show House Exterior
Over the past 6 months, I've had so much fun aiding James in materials boards and joining on walk-throughs of the house. I was thrilled to hear that he'd been chosen for a bedroom...quite a change from the Butler's Pantry that we got to play with last year.
Check out the list of designers for this year's home! It's quite the long list for this is quite a large house!

James will be speaking on May 9th - you don't want to miss him!

Here are two more SouthEast showhouses for all of you groupies like me:

The Showhouse at Adamsleigh in Greensboro, NC looks like a fun one too! Day trip anyone?
Slide 1

And the O'more Designer Showhouse in Franklin, TN looks like a good time as well!

Hope to see you all at the Atlanta Symphony Showhouse soon!

One Kings Lane

The Atlanta Christmas House closed over the weekend, but people across the country were allowed a chance at grabbing a piece of the fabo merch inside! One Kings Lane hosted a sale on December 4th, and James sold most of the delicious pieces in his mudroom!

During install, he lent me the opportunity of styling the laundry area off the mudroom. I was tickled!
I had the idea of a woodsy feel...plates on the wall with turkeys mixed with baskets and a few little woodland creatures scattered about. So, I put paintbrush to paper and painted these sweet little guys for the space. And the coolest part? They all sold on OKL! I was pumped!

And here are a few peeks of the space. (For more on James' incredible room, click here.)

The room already had gorgeous cabinets in pale blue gray and nice counter tops, and James chose Benjamin Moore's Monroe Bisque for the walls. So, my job was easy - just a few accessories to convey the holiday season.

I had a few festively wrapped packages on the counter by a bowl of oranges and cloves.

Two lemon cypress trees flanked the window.

And a tea tray was tucked in a corner beneath my woodland paintings.

One wall had an antique fish platter between two baskets adorned with cotton and holly.

And the other large wall featured hunting scenes and turkey plates surrounding that beautiful platter.

It was a ball, as always! I love working with James and can't wait for the ASO show house coming up in April!!!!
