A Special Project and a bit of news

I was asked to do a bit of a different project for me - a lady was moving from a private apartment to a semi-private room in a chic care facility in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. I was to incorporate as many of her family pieces, antiques, and things she loves as possible. Sounds like fun, right?  I had a ball! Wanted to share what I did one morning a few weeks ago!
She has so many lovelies to use!

And sweet pieces to incorporate

Fun painting, right?

And a place for her beloved family portraits
On another note, my husband and I have closed on our new house - finally! We've both been wanting this for so long, and waiting for what seems like an eternity! We're sharing the duties - he's handling things like the locks and the electrician, and I am working on colors, how to use what we've got, and when/how to move! We've got some cosmetic things to do before we move in, but I promise pictures soon. Here are a few of the paint colors I am thinking of using.
Benjamin Moore Palladian Blue
a pretty blue for the front door

Dragon's Breath - Benjamin Moore (door)
a darker shade for the interior doors

Shutters are Benjamin Moore Wrought Iron.
shutter color

just noting the paint color Classic Brown No. 2109-10...$37gal...benjamin moore
a rich hue for a bedroom

Benjamin Moore "Thunder"
you know I love my shades of gray!

a fun color for a bathroom

Benjamin Moore Coastal Fog Walls
office color, perhaps?

Hope you all had a fun weekend! I helped with the decor for a fun wedding, so stay tuned for pics!

  2. Congrats on the sale of your home! I am sure that is a huge relief. I love what you did for this client- it's so sweet to see all her personal things being utilized in her new home. I know that will make living there be so much more enjoyable. :)
