We've had the most fun company all summer long! So many of our sweet family and friends have been to visit for the night or weekend and to enjoy a little lake action!
This house has a ton of deck space which we love...especially when we've got visitors. David's got a space to grill, and we, our pets, and our company have plenty of places to relax in the shade.
Outdoor furniture is expensive! So, I wanted to maximize what we had at our other house and give our pieces a face lift.
The first was our small table and chairs. I had painted it all with black spray paint, and with all of the chipping paint and wear, it was definitely time for a new paint job.
This little table has been passed around the Griffin family and it's finally landed with us. I love having it outside as a place for a lamp or potted plant. It needed a better paint job than what I had given it too.
We sit in these Adirondack chairs all the time, but their black spray paint job had seen a better day.
And lastly, the double chaise lounge also made the face lift list.
I decided on a mostly white and blue color scheme with a little coral and a touch of Chinois.
This table/bench is an old coffee table. I covered the top of it with a textured basket weave fabric and tossed a few Ikea pillows on top.
The Adirondacks and chaise lounge were all painted my new favorite shade of white : Mascarpone. Afterward, they looked brand new again!
The little red lantern is an Ikea piece too, and we already had the pillows.
The little black iron table and chairs got a coral makeover as did the black table with the coral handles. I found the indoor/outdoor Chinoiserie toile on maja sale at Hancock's - love it on the seats of the chairs.
The turquoise lamp is from Target a few years ago.
My MIL found these old windows a few years ago for me, and I finally had the perfect spot for them. I had David add hooks along the bottom (which is actually the top, but is the thickest part if the window casing) for stray towels, hats, etc.
Now, our lower deck has a nice, cheerful place to hang out with friends in the shade!
This area got lots of use over the labor day weekend....hope your holiday was as fun as ours was!
These updates look great Maggie! Looks like new furniture!
