A pink and gold party!

I had to share this gorgeous bridesmaids' luncheon that I was lucky enough to be a part of!
The bride's (my new sister in law) brunch was lovely, and my BFF Hollie (the bride's first cousin) did a beautiful job in creating a girly, personal soiree to toast the start of the wedding weekend.

The adorable invitation in pink and gold set the tone for the morning event. I am in love with the polka dots and the envelope liner - such a sweet detail!

The Friday before a wedding, especially when it's your brother's, is just so energetic. You can feel the excitement, a bit of nerves, and the anticipation of the wedding. My mother, sister, and I woke up with smiles on our faces! We headed to the venue, the main house at Twin Oaks Farms, for the 11am brunch. Twin Oaks housed the bridal party for the weekend, was the site of us girls getting ready on Saturday, and was the venue for the reception on Saturday night.

I love a bridesmaids' luncheon...a chance for the ladies of the bride and groom's family to mingle with the bridesmaids and just be girly girls. What special camaraderie with this group too! I absolutely adore my new sister in law, and have had a ball getting to know her special mother and sister, aunts, grandmother, and cousins.

Here's the mother and sister of the groom!

The groom's two sisters!

Twin Oaks consists of a main house and several barns...the neatest place! I am obsessed with the log cabin - I have to have one like it someday!

The farm is about 10 miles outside of my home town of Hawkinsville, Georgia on a pretty dirt road. Surrounded by cotton and corn fields, it feels very comfortable and peaceful.

Now on to the brunch details!
We were greeted with delicious sugar rimmed raspberry bellinis by the gracious hostesses. Gifts for us bridesmaids added to the decor...how precious are they all wrapped up in pink and gold paper?!? The tissue paper bows are too fun!

Shades of pink, white, and metallic gold streamers were hung above the bellini bar and gift table.

Yes, these were as good as they look!

Champagne bottles with precious custom labels and straws were given as a parting gift.

Loveliness in the form of green, white, and pink flowers!

The tables were exquisite! Gold polka dot burlap runners (from JoAnn's!) were laid atop crisp white table cloths on the round tables. A gold charger, a pink napkin, place cards and custom menu cards marked each seat.

Centerpieces included white hydrangea blooms, pink knock out roses, and green stock.

It was such a treat to begin the wedding weekend at this pretty party!

The food was outstanding!
I may have helped myself to more than one of the ham sliders! :)

I loved that so many of the attendees dressed in shades of pink and coral...including the beautiful bride!

Quiche, ham sliders, fruit, a rosemary scone, and pancake stacks made for the prettiest plate!

How precious!

The bride and the women in her family!
That's the maid of honor, the bride's sister - Anna Grace by my sister Abbye, and then the lovely mother of the bride, Mrs. Lyn with the bride, Laura Lyn, along with my pretty mama, and me!

Stay tuned for more on their wedding weekend!

  1. This is so beautiful and congratulations to the bride. I am the MOB and my bride wants gold too. Where did you find the chargers in gold? And the china plates with gold? Again, very nicely put together!
