I loved working with these clients over the past 6 months. Not only are they friends of ours, and had wonderful pieces already, but they were so open to ideas and were super excited to get some things done in their already-great home. They had amazing furniture....great sofas, chairs, large dining table, etc., but accessories and fabrics were missing.
Not. A. Problem.
That's my thing, y'all. :)
It was an added bonus that they have the most precious little baby girl, who I love getting to see too!
We would be concentrating on the family room/den, the main living room, and the basement/man cave. Here are some before shots to wet your whistle.
And AFTER:
The Family Room/Den
Personality and color were brought in through the custom pillows and window treatments, as well as the fun woven jute rug. A new coffee table with soft edges will be perfect for little ones on the move.
We modified the seating arrangement in this room, creating symmetry around the TV by flanking these fabulous chairs with lamps, and surrounding the telly with the black and white images of their sweet family.
A bit of texture was brought in through simple round baskets now surrounding an antique mirror and marble topped chest.
Some detail shots for you to enjoy around the room...
Their galley-style kitchen was already fantastic, we just brought in a bit of softness through the ikat valance above the sink.
The dining area got the same window treatments, and a new jute rug too.
The living room is now more pulled together with a bit of shuffling around....we brought the gorgeous antique rug up from the basement and pulled the aquas, taupes, and oranges from it's traditional pattern. Pillows, window treatments, and a new coffee table give life to this seating area.
Last but not least, the man cave.
This room was based around the large antique flag over the main sofa. I pulled the deep red/coral from it to accent the shades of gray and chocolate already present in the room.
Accessories were maja-ly needed, so we cultivated some little vignettes with a mix of oyster plates, sunburst mirrors, and antlers paired with pieces the couple already owned.
Lots of coziness and softness are now present thanks to the lamp lighting, cow hide rug, mix of patterned pillows, and a plush throw.
A few close ups of the deets:
Hope y'all have enjoyed this reveal! Lots more to show soon!
I love that chest-as-coffee table in the living room! Where is it from? It all looks gorg!
