House Tour: Christmas Version

Hope y'all had a nice weekend! We got to see my baby sis graduate from college {*tear*} and attend a few parties this weekend!

With Christmas just around the corner, I wanted to share a house tour. Our cousin Robert lives about 30 minutes from here and hosted our annual family Christmas gathering. With the help of his parents and brother, the house looked amazing! They've all worked together to re-do his 50's ranch...the house is so great! And rare in that the halls are wide, the ceilings a little taller, and more closets present than in most ranch style homes. Plus, there's a full basement that can someday be the ultimate man cave and guest suite. Most recently, a brick patio was added to the back and the kitchen reno completed. All of the floors are original and the bathrooms too...you'll see, they really lucked out!

First, a beautifully festive entry:

The dining space set for the holidays:

Many pieces used are from Robert's grandmother's home, including many of his Christmas decorations.

A small panelled side porch has slowly converted to a nice sitting room. The grandkids were seated here for lunch!

The place settings (beautifully set by Robert's mother) were so pretty! Our cousin Kathryn and I are both expecting, and we had precious ornaments to honor our places!

The boys' favorite room is the paneled den. My hubs and his cousins, including the little boys, all love to "chill" in here. The paneling is original to the house....I love it!

The guest room is just so pretty too! Antique black beds look great against the soft aqua walls.

The bathrooms really had great tile choices already - none of that avocado green or sea foam blue tile and toilet like so many ranches. I love the gray tile in the guest bath!

The main hallway is nice and wide. It truly connects the whole house, and the lanterns add so much personality.

The master bedroom is fun and masculine. An avid sportsman, Robert's golf hobby and love of football are evident.

The master bath already had precious black and white tile...how fun!

The main living space features a gorgeous fireplace and held the gifts for our dirty Santa swap! I'm sorry my camera has such an aversion to Christmas lights - the pics turn out blurry!

The entry way, which accesses the dining area and the living area, is nice and wide and has another charming lantern light fixture.

I love these prints in the study: great Georgia Bulldog poster prints framed in a grid. The colors are beautiful!

And the ceiling is painted a lovely shade of blue, pulling from the ticking sofa.

Hope you've enjoyed this house tour today! Countless hours of hard work and family time went into Robert's house, and it certainly shows!
Stay tuned for another house tour later this week!
